Non-equilibrium phenomena in superfluid and coherent quantum systems Workshop (Newcastle, 10-12 June 2019)

Next week from the 10th--12th June Newcastle University is hosting a three day event titled "Non-equilibrium phenomena in superfluid and coherent quantum systems" -- bringing together researchers from the UK and EU to discuss their recent work.

As part of the event there will be a dedicated atomtronics session, an emerging sub-field of the ultracold atom community, whose work seeks to find atom analogues of electronic systems.

The event concludes with a showcase of recent activity from our members at the JQC, presenting experimental and theoretical works including ultracold molecules, quantum computation, and hot-electron quantum optics.
