We are an experimental research group interested in the study of Bose-Einstein condensation in the vicinity of magnetic Feshbach resonances. Spread across three experiments we investigate 85Rb condensates with tunable interactions, the formation of ultracold molecules using quantum degenerate mixtures of Rb and Cs, and the development of a quantum simulator using Yb and Cs confined in an optical lattice.
Quantum science and technology underpins the understanding of matter, radiation, and their interaction, and devices such as atomic clocks and SQUIDs. Our core mission is to conduct fundamental and applied research in this area, interfacing physics, chemistry and applied mathematics.
